um no. one does not have to be a medic or physicist to see that this is wrong. just based on the volume, it is clear that when looking at the human heart, only about half of which contains incoming liquid, is far smaller than 16 oz. without googling it, i'd guess that each average heartbeat would pump maybe 3-4 oz, maybe 125ml.... |

Given the circumstances (war) the heart rate is pumping much more blood through it then someone just laying on a operating table or sitting in a chair. The heart is like a hydrolic system, the higher the heart rate, the more blood passing through the four chambers, I'm assuming it's probably 125ml of cyctoplasm per a single heart chamber see'ing as, as one chamber releases blood, the next takes it in and forces it into the next chamber etc etc.... And I see where I screwed up, I ment a half pint... pints are 1,000 where as halves are 500ml.... lol, yea, no one would loose a pint per a heart beat. This is why i'm not a medic yet ;) |
