Re: FSA Fighter Shot and Killed (HD)
The fsa rebels are wearing any armor that might save their lives, when you're under equiped and going to war, would you take armor or go shirtless? they could have spray painted it camo, I'm sure spray paint is available somewhere over there.

Re: FSA Fighter Shot and Killed (HD)
Ah there is a bit more to it than that. Camo, any camo will break up the out line. It really does not matter what pattern or color for the most part. As for handling them (wounded) with more care.. They are getting shot at.Get them out of the line of fire first..

Re: FSA Fighter Shot and Killed (HD)
Well to correct and respond a bit. First off tri-color desert wasn't used in the Persian Gulf, it was issued prior to ACU at the beginning of the Afghanistan invasion. We used 6 color desert (AKA Choco chip) during the first Persian Gulf second a LOT of America's stockpiles are sold off when obsolete either as civilian surplus or to other nations. And lastly about the helmets, Kevlar is very expensive, and expires after about 10 years. For example the military pays about 700 dollars for an M4 Assault Rifle, and 300 for a Kevlar PSGT helmet (As pictured) which have become obsolete to the MICH 2000 and 2002's we normally issue now. All of these helmets are a Kevlar compound that only has a shelf life of 10 years, so we use them as long as they are good, they aren't something the military has large stores of. In fact the market for helmets is pretty strained right now. When I ordered my MICH it was a 9 month waiting period because the military couldn't get enough to supply their troops. Just some incite....also we don't want to give them weapons or gear since they are all linked to terrorist groups. |
