A military policeman shot dead his pregnant wife and stormed the 19th Military Police Battalion in Greater Recife on Tuesday (20). A fellow officer died and three others were wounded. After the crime the man killed himself.

The police officer responsible for the crimes was identified as G. and shot his wife, who was pregnant, seven times. C.G.d.S. was rescued by family members and taken to the Cabo de Santo Agostinho Emergency Care Unit, but she and her baby were unable to withstand the injuries.

After the shots were fired, the MP proceeded to the battalion headquarters, where he entered the monitoring room and began to shoot. The body of an officer killed in the attack was taken to the IML Recife. Two military police officers shot at the battalion were taken to the Hospital Português, also in downtown Recife.
