I never questioned if going to Iraq was a good or a bad thing. You say that that your country does not go into any conflict, only those which are indicated the most. Yes Saddam could've killed many more than he did, but what about almost ANY country in Africa? Killing about 800 thousand (!) civilians is not good enough for the west to intervene? Or the constant massacres (which seems to be a national sport over there) in a dozen countries? What are we doing right now? And please, making a statement like "You owe us for Hitler" will make people's blood boiling who live east of Berlin.(And as far as I remeber the US didnt get into europe alone...). Please dont act like you were the hero of the day, all countries just sat on their asses sucking their thumbs and the eastern front didnt exist... Nope, thinking through what you've said about calculating where to go to war, I still think that there is no intervention if there is no self-interest involved. Just as a side note: Im not belittling the american people, Im not hating on them, Im only debating foreign policy. |

Only parts of my reply was directed at you personally. NOT all of it. Most of it is about the general attitude of U.S. haters. I could take on every point you made and bury them. But what's the point? People like yourself don't want to give credit where credit is due. As far as Africa, why has the U.S. not went to war there? Well anyone with an IQ of 10 or more would probably say that it's simply because we don't consider them a threat to world peace. They are a threat to themselves only. And a damn good one at that. They act like animals and it will be generations before they become civilized. Middle eastern countries under the influence of Islam are a million times more of a threat to the entire world than disorganized, uneducated Africans with AK47's. One day they'll buy a Cessna and then they'll have an air force. The furthest they reach out to interfere with the rest of the world is through piracy. Which has greatly decreased since the world has taken a firm stance against them. Including the U.S. bringing them back here for trial now. Although life in a U.S. prison with 3 meals a day will be a vacation to them compared to freedom in Africa under starvation. As far as Hitler, come on. Seriously? You act as though the U.S. did NOT save the day on that one? See, that is just the fucking point I'm trying to make. It's that kind of shit that pisses off anyone with common sense. People like yourself would love to rewrite history when it comes to the good that the U.S. has done. The world was getting their asses handed to them by Hitler until the U.S. got involved. Do you REALLY not know that for fucks sake? And when we did, the whole world was goddamned glad to see us coming. Except Germany and your country (who backed the Natzis). We were welcomed as heroes. That's history, not my dumb ass opinion. The fact that you ignore that leaves me with little care for any of the rest of your so called points! It's not my wish to insult anyone's country, even though it is done to mine on a constant basis. However, come on. You are from Hungary and you're throwing rocks at the U.S.? I consider myself a WW2 buff, but had to look up Hungary to refresh my memory on their involvement before blindly throwing out statements (like some people). Your country that you are so proud of backed the Germans. So congrats for joining the losing side. You must hang your head high and proud on that one. How does that make sense? Good ole anger because you think the U.S. should have been invading on the eastern front on behalf of your country due to the loss of life that occurred there. If you read your previous replies on the subject of U.S. intervention (or the lack thereof) for humanitarian reasons, it's quiet obvious what you are angry about. Hell maybe you don't even recognize it about yourself, but I consider it obvious. Rather than going back and forth with you on this bullshit. Let me sum up what your problem is. Basically without writing a books worth of details, your country was on the verge of getting it's ass kicked by Russia. Your country sided with Hitler because he was going to war with Russia. You're pissed off because the U.S. didn't come in to rescue your asses and we chose to attack on the western front. So you're pissed off at us because we didn't intervene on behalf of Hungary.
