Re: Formula 2 Death
perhaps you should put as much effort into knowing what you are commenting on as you do in posting your racist rants out of the 3 drivers involved in this, the only one who was 100% innocent was the driver who died . . . although overall it was more than likely a racing accident with no blame to be apportioned to the other 2 drivers |

Re: Formula 2 Death
Yep, this one's a freak occurrence, a combination of events that cascaded into tragedy. On the second lap, Alesi lost control of his car going up Radillion, and it was at the top of the hill that Hubert had to take evasive action and hit the barrier as a consequence. Ordinarily, the "safety cell" in these cars can take a hefty hit. Unfortunately for Hubert, Correa followed up the hill and (unsighted) speared into the side of his car as it rebounded back onto the track. There's no way Correa could have anticipated in time Hubert's car pinging back onto the track. That was a 140+ mph smash into the side of a car. No way was Anthoine gonna survive that one. (Also; on the clip, as Correa's car slowed to a halt, upside-down, you can see his feet at the front of the car wiggling around, Zanardi-style - he's recovering in hospital, but I seriously doubt he'll drive again) |

Re: Formula 2 Death
Definitely a racing incident, no way to avoid the collision. Someone posted the Bellof crash and what’s ironic about this is they both were running the #19, they had a tribute to Hubert during Sundays F1 race on lap 19, people stood up and clapped, it was also the 34th anniversary of Bellofs death 9/1/85. The driver that won dedicating the race to Hubert, it was his 1st win and it was his 34th grandprix race.

Re: Formula 2 Death
https://wwos.nine.com.au/motorsport/...9-cf5e8add7bed it seems that juan manuel correa is having more problems with his recovery - hope he will make a full and comfortable recovery it also seems that alesi's spin was caused by a puncture and not driver error |
