No way I would have stood there and let that puny ass fuck shoot me. The minute that fuck went to raise that rifle I would have jumped his ass and gouged his eyes and maybe if I was lucky, quickly took the weapon from him and used it on the person filming. I may or may not succeeded but at least I went down fighting on my feet instead of basically dying on my knees.

I think some people get frozen when theyre hit with the fight or flight response. Like they dont comprehend the reality of the imminent threat or danger around them, or somehow think dialogue can save them because its hard to think someones about to murder you when you pose no threat. I've felt it before being robbed at gunpoint so to me it makes sense, but its still crazy to see ppl not fighting back or anything. But in my case I remained ultra calm and relaxed and luckily walked away. Gotta be able to read peoples intentions/body language in these situations to have any chance I think...  |

What do you think he could've done here besides try to talk himself out of the situation? Run? Hop on his bike and ride away before he gets grabbed and/or shot? Attack the guy with the AK? What if the camera guy also had an AK? Even if he didn't, it's still 2v1 and he looks unarmed. This dude's number was up the moment he was unfortunate enough to run into the Taliban. Assuming that was his bike, he fucked up by even getting off it, but he might not have had a choice there either. When dealing with the Taliban or the various Cartels, if you choose to be uncooperative, there's always a worse way to die. |
