Re: Foreign Maid in Saudi Arabia Hung Herself or is It Murder ?
'Hanged' is most often used in reference to a judicial hanging. 'Hung' is more commonly used when one hangs oneself. In actuality, both have been used interchangeably according to the speaker's taste for centuries. Neither is more or less correct in common use, but the typical convention usually reserves 'hanged' for when one is executed by hanging. "They hanged the traitor yesterday. When she heard the news, his wife hung herself in shame." |

I'm sorry but your completely wrong. Hanged and hung can be used interchangeably. However, to reduce the risk of annoying your readers, opt for hung over hanged. However, if you're talking about execution by hanging, then opt for hanged over hung. Read more at http://www.grammar-monster.com/easil...UYWYdaaT4DT.99 |
