Ford Maverick Driver Partly Charred After Head-on Crash with Tractor Trailer
A 30-year-old man died charred after crashing his Ford Maverick into a truck on the Transbrasiliana Highway, São Paulo. The accident took place on Saturday afternoon. According to information from the Federal Highway Police the car would have invaded the opposite lane when trying to overtake. The tractor trailer tried to avoid the collision, went to the shoulder, but unfortunately the Maverick driver also went to the shoulder resulting in a head-on collision. |

Re: Ford Maverick Driver Partly Charred After Head-on Crash with Tractor Trailer
~ Description says it all, the guy tried to overtake another vehicle, then tried to avoid colliding with the approaching truck in the opposite direction lane, by turning away, towards his left, but the truck also turned away, towards it's right, causing both to collide with each other directly.

Damn shame, this was probably one of the last original Mavericks. Did you guys know Ford released a "Maverick" pickup this year? I didn't either until just now, lol. |

Good thing he didn’t get hit from behind. The maverick and pinto shared the same fuel filler issue. The fireball would have been even more sudden and spectacular. Might have taken out the truck driver too.
