Might be survivable if they can stop the bleeding. I know a surgeon who saved a hispanic ladies life, she had been stabbed with a knife about 40 times in the neck. Surgeon stuffed all the holes with gauze to stop the bleeding and the lady survived and recovered...

Could be that they are behind on certain things, too. Here in the states, even, some years ago basic EMTs didn't have the authority to pronounce deaths, only the coroners were. While they waited for the coroner arrive to sign off on the corpse, EMTs had to still perform all necessary procedures to stop any potential death from happening. Usually consisted of bandaging wounds of people clearly dead for days, even.  |
