So if the cop was wrong to shoot the dog, what other course of action would make sense? Running away? Perhaps just being a man and letting the animal take a chunk out of your leg? Screaming 'NO!' and hoping the animal stopped? Obviously not, the course of action is to protect yourself with the means at hand. This is a completely justifiable shooting and the owners of the animal should have had it under control. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

I'm a dog lover. The cop was 100% justified. That dog is obviously mean/protective. As soon as it came outside it went to attack the officer. It's the homeowners responsibility to secure the dog before opening the door. Keep a leash on the dog or put it in a room. Simple as that. I'm so sick and tired of cop haters. The dog owner killed that dog. The cop protected himself as any other human being deserves to.

You guys should read the news once in awhile. The asshole cop was only knocking on this girls door to tell her that her car was unlocked.Her dog was not attacking him and did not even bark. This shit happens all the time here. Miracle he didn't shoot the young girl  |
