Happened in Belize, Central America. Melchor Trucker Gets Crushed under 18-wheeler at Belize/ Guatemala Border Guatemalan trucker Marcus Fernando Zabaleto lost his life at the Belize/Guatemala western border earlier today when an eighteen-wheeler ran him over. According to police, they were called out to the cargo area of the Belize Western Border where they saw the lifeless body of the thirty-eight-year-old resident of Melchor de Mencos. An investigation into the incident revealed that sometime before eleven o’clock, fifty-three-year-old Jose Alfredo Guevara Guerra, a Guatemalan trucker from Santa Ana Peten, was driving a Freight Liner Truck off the lot. He was immediately notified that someone had been lodged between the wheels of the vehicle, but it was too late. Zabaleto had been dragged a distance, during which he was crushed and disfigured. His body was transported to the San Ignacio Hospital where he was pronounced dead. |
