Firemen

my real respect for firemen came when the building i live in caught fire. to see these guys standing on the roof as the flames shot through it left quite an impression on me that i will never forget. if i owned the building or had some type of financial or personal business in the building... i still wouldn't stand on the roof of a burning building when the roof itself is also burning. firemen... brave or crazy or perhaps a little bit of both.

this is an old clip that i have never seen resurface again after i first saw it. i have to assume these firemen were standing on a burning roof that gave in.

Re: Firemen

As a volunteer FF1 here in Wisconsin, Viet Vet, and workaday Joe; I would answer your question by saying "YES" we are brave, crazy, and even regard things with careless abandon. Except when it comes to terms of life and death. Once you've looked down the throat of an enemy, be it Victor Charlie or the devil himself,(FIRE), nothing will ever stand in your way!

Since when do only a 'few' respect what firemen do? That's news to me. Everyone I've ever met would probably claim that they have the highest respect for firemen.
