What's that quote Yoda says "Do or do not. There is no try."

Great advice you little green bastard, didn't work out so well here.

Re: Firefighter Rescue Goes Horribly Wrong

Aw no what a horrible experience for that fireman to go through, that's a part of working in the rescue services that must be so hard to deal with

I work with firefighters on daily basis in a wildfire prevention program: i spend much time with them. They all say that to fail to save someone's life is the worst thing that can happen to one of them: but (my guess) to fail to save a life when you think you did it must be way way worse. Worse than a nightmare.
He will never wipe this from his memory, that's for sure. He'll feel guilty forever, despite he has no faults: He tried his best to save her life, but the task was beyond his possibility.
Good luck to this man.

A living nightmare for the poor man.

Guess it's really important to emphasise that he did his absolute best in that situation and should not blame himself although bet it's really hard

Re: Firefighter Rescue Goes Horribly Wrong

I was thinking the exact same thing. She looked overweight and that probably added to the problem of trying to rescue her. The fireman did his best and he still deserves total respect.
