Filipino Taxi Driver Shot Dead by Passenger During Robbery Attempt
Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines A 37-year-old taxi driver, Erick R.S., was shot in the head by a passenger who attempted to rob him. Based on footage from inside the vehicle, Erick pleaded with the attacker, aged 43, not to approach him. However, the suspect continued advancing toward the driver, before pulling out a firearm and shooting him in the head. The attacker has been arrested. |

Sickening! How much freaking money did that POS think a taxi driver would have on him. Probably very little to nothing, especially if it was an Uber type service where customers pay through the app. And I think it was an Uber type service, because the victims car is black with no decals of any kind visible that I can see anyways. Very sad.

I had a heck of a time following this. Sounded like several gunshots and the dark lighting didn’t help either. But, it sure sucked for the cabbie. |

I drove a cab for 3 years. I can't tell you how many times I was worried this might happen. It's too bad they no longer have the death penalty in the Philippines. They have to feed this little festered cluster of afterbirth for life.
