Filipino Gas Station Attendant Shot Dead by Motorcycle Rider
Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines A 26-year-old gas station attendant, Eugenio B.T. Jr, was shot dead after two unidentified suspects arrived at the establishment on a Honda motorcycle and stopped to purchase petrol. After reportedly paying for the fuel, the pillion rider suddenly drew a firearm and shot Eugenio once, killing him at the scene. Police recovered from the crime scene an empty cartridge case believed to be from a .45-caliber firearm and a ₱50 bill. |

Definitely targeted and not about free fuel, given they didn't take the ₱50 back before speeding off. Not the wisest thing to discharge a firearm at a gas station though. When they ask you to not smoke, it's for a basic and well-documented reason.  |
