The driver didn't back off on the lift control even though he(she) could see where it was going. Then the idiot driver moved the forklift before even knowing the situation. All of these workers fuxed up, but I feel the driver is especially liable.

I operated a forklift for many years, they average 8,000 lbs. I saw many stupid things over the years that could have resulted in many deaths, easily. Tragic, but as was said, preventable.

Can't fix stupid. And stupid was the moment she though her body weight would in any way assist the massive load the forklift was attempting to lift. That's why their are safety bars on the lift. So that the people inside do not get killed. Hanging from the back of one was stupid. Even in the "moment", one should have enough common sense to not make that rash decision.

Best case scenario and the woman wouldn't have got crushed, all three of them would've still been sacked after violating the work space rules that much. Unless this is some 3rd world country footage we're talking about.

Why do so many people whether it be with heavy moving equipment or vehicles or power tools, always seem to think that by simply throwing their body weight on to something is going to overpower Hydraulics or a 4000 pound car. Every single video on here that I see like that needs to be thrown onto Darwin Awards.com because these people are literally the stupidest people alive especially the ones that work with that everyday they should know better

Did anyone else laugh when the two guys watching the video both went "Awwwww!" at exactly the same time with exactly the same beat? Otherwise, there's absolutely nothing funny about a poor female worker getting crushed to death by a forklift in a tragic accident...except when her co-workers stumble, fumble & bumble trying to rescue her.
