It depends on the laws of different countries, in some countries if a person dies while you are helping them, you become liable for their death, especially if you don't have first aid or medical knowledge.

Driver of the car that Eliza Clivia was in is blamed for the accident, police says 09/13/2017 The Civil Police of Sergipe concluded that the driver of the car in which the singer from Paraíba was Eliza Clivia and her boyfriend was to blame for the accident that ended with the death of the couple, on June 17 of this year, in Aracaju-SE. According to delegate Daniela Lima, the driver was indicted for intentional traffic homicide and intentional traffic injury because he assumed the risk of the accident when he disobeyed traffic signals. “[He was indicted] for the offense of article 302 of the Brazilian Traffic Code, which is manslaughter in traffic and culpable bodily harm in traffic. It was proved that the cause of the accident was the entry of the vehicle (driven by the singer's driver) on the road”, said the delegate in an interview with the program Balanço Geral, on TV Atalaia, affiliated with Record TV in Sergipe. |
