Female Pillion Rider Run Over by Truck After It Hit Their Scooter
India, A 42-year-old woman was killed instantly after a speeding truck hit a scooter on Friday. Police identified the victim as B.K. The accident took place around 7.30 a.m. when the woman, along with her husband P, were riding on their scooter. An overtaking truck rubbed against their scooter, as a result the two-wheeler lost control and both the rider and the pillion rider fell down. The woman, who was riding pillion, was run over by the truck’s rear tyres, and she was killed instantly, police said. The whole incident was caught on a nearby CCTV unit. Police said the truck was seized and the driver was taken into custody. A probe was opened. |

~ The truck was too close to the shoulder, struck the motorbike, then the motorbike lost control where the road pavement meets the dirt .
