Female Motorcyclist Is Crushed By Truck
A young woman identified as Maria C.M.O., 21, died after being hit and dragged by a truck in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso state, Brazil, on Tuesday afternoon (9). In a statement, the Municipal Secretariat for Urban Mobility (Semob) said that the driver of the trailer had a Special Transit Authorisation (AET) that had been expired since May 2023. The driver was fined R$130.16 (USD$24) for travelling in a prohibited place outside the permitted hours. The action was considered a medium offence and he lost four points on his licence. |

Also, it looks like if she was aware he was closing on her, she had places to go on the R/H side to get out of range of the truck, including a road turnoff!. Why she did not is a mystery to me.  |
