Female Employee Crushed By Forklift
According to initial information, the accident happened at about 9:30 a.m. on August 22, at the completed team area, Akalia Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd.At that time, a female worker named Tran Thi M.; (living in Mau Lam commune, Nhu Thanh district) after returning from the washroom. At the same time, a forklift truck was reversing from outside. Due to the driver's blindness and lack of observation, the forklift backed up and hit female worker M., causing the victim to fall and be run over by the forklift. This female worker was quickly taken to Nhu Thanh District General Hospital for emergency treatment, but the victim did not survive. Immediately after the incident, Nhu Thanh District Police sent forces to the scene to coordinate with relevant units to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident. It is known that Akalia Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. went into operation in early 2021, currently this company has more than 6,000 employees. |

Was she blind? Over here in the UK those forklifts have to make a beeping sound by law when being used. Maybe this is why....

She should've had her head on a swivel and that guy walked into that shit blindly.. usually there's a reverse alarm while the vehicle is in reverse.. bofa dem to blame |

Drove a forklift for several companies in the mid-1970s. No beeping sounds on them back then. The driver was expected to simply pay attention to where they were going and other employees were expected to pay attention to where they were walking. It's a factory; there is shit that will kill you.

No back alarm, no warning lights, driver not looking where’s going, pedestrian not looking if a threat is coming. What could go wrong went wrong. I’ve been driving forklifts for over 15 years and I cannot imagine how traumatic it would be for a driver to kill someone like that in a second of inattention. These machines are underrated killers.
