Re: Female Driver Rear-ends Car, Bumps Bike Before Getting Fatally Hit by a Truck
Looks like she took the time to grab a bag of groceries? Even her car hit her in the end. Final Destination for sure.

Looks like the little white car that pulled out in lane of oncoming traffic blocked his view. He just tried not to rear-end the vehicle in front of him.

Re: Female Driver Rear-ends Car, Bumps Bike Before Getting Fatally Hit by a Truck
Probably. Not a good decision. But when things are happening fast. I'm lucky to be here or in 1 piece myself over something similar. Well kinda. I was 17 driving a forklift through a building as fast as it would go. Obstacle in my way, should have just hit it . Would have been much safer. But instincts I guess so I turned. Fucking forklift went up on two wheels about to flip on its side. What do I do? Put my foot down on that side like it's a bicycle. Like I was going to catch it. Man that was dumb. Was lucky it righted itself. Might have killed me, or broke me severely. Possibly the dumbest thing I've ever done. That and the time I was using a qtip to clean my ear after a shower and the phone rang. Just left the qtip in my ear and ran to answer the phone. Thank God it wasn't anyone important because I sounded like a little bitch after getting out "hellooowweeeee". Also at 17. Not q good year for me. |

Re: Female Driver Rear-ends Car, Bumps Bike Before Getting Fatally Hit by a Truck
Possibly but the truck sat up markedly higher than the other vehicles, hence more visibility had he been paying attention. Plus at 0:31 while you can see both the first crashed vehicle and the white one in the "turn lane," the driver swerves to avoid the former which had been stopped for some time. Before the angle changes the lane closest to the first vehicle was clear for a bit there from about 0:13 to 0:26. That's a long time for a driver paying attention to notice a stopped vehicle if they're looking ahead, especially when there's relatively little traffic on that side of the road. Combine this with the speed at which he tried to turn despite being top-heavy and this further suggests driver incompetence, at best. |

Squished by the truck then run over by her own vehicle. Dude on bike probably got spatter on him.
