As do most other bicyclists. They shouldn't be allowed on highways with motor vehicles in my opinion. It's just asking for trouble when some big-rigs have cabs that are higher than upright bicyclists.  |

~ She should have done just as the biker ahead of her had done, stay as close to the right as possible, but seems from the video that she wasn't as experienced on a bike as she was in her lawyer career field. ~ She actually runs right into the truck as she flimsily loses control of her bike from not sticking to the rightmost of the roadside & as she realizes the truck is on her ass. ~ A middle-age moment was to blame for this tragedy. |

Not sure who was wrong here.... Him for running over a dumb ass in the road on a bike expecting everyone to go around, or her for riding in the shithole street to avoid no curb, gravel, potholes, which forced her in front of a truck who couldn't see a fucking thing since he was on Facebook.

Really?  You'd think it'd be obvious to anyone old enough to drive and understand the responsibility. It's the truck drivers responsibility to know what's in front of his truck. It's his responsibility to not run over cyclist or pedestrians. You can argue she wasn't being safe, she was risking her life. But a bicycle in America and in most countries has a right of way on the street. And are to be treated just as any vehicle. The" I didn't see her excuse" is meaningless and worthless. It's not like she just entered the roadway crossing right in front of it. It appears the trucker knows she's there in the first few seconds of the video. But then decides he r must be clear and pushes on. Like I said, a cyclist practically everywhere is not "in the way". They have the entire lane in America, and are to be treated as if they are another vehicle. In America the truck driver broke the law by trying to pass the bike in the same lane as the bike. |
