Female Cab Driver Was Shot and Killed Inside Taxi

Colombia, Bogota, the victim, 47, was leaving a parking lot Wednesday when she was surprised by a hitman.

The victim received at least four gunshots while in her taxi. So far the causes and authors of the attack are unknown, so the authorities started the respective investigations to clarify what happened.

Some neighbors arrived at the scene and reported hearing several gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, the community realized that the victim, who has not yet been identified, was no longer vital and died at the scene due to wounds caused by multiple gunshot wounds.

The Bogotá Police confirmed that the person who committed the crime was inside the vehicle and, a few blocks from the scene, a second person was waiting for him on a motorcycle, on which they fled.

Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Section (SIJÍN) interviewed witnesses and searched the area for security cameras to locate the murderer and his accomplices.

"The National Police has launched a criminal investigation to clarify the events and capture the alleged perpetrator.
