Female Bike Passenger Killed by Delivery Truck
A woman died Tuesday afternoon and 4 others were injured during a traffic accident involving 4 vehicles, including a motorcycle, in front of the main entrance of the Dominican Republic Army Command. The victim D.G.A., was one of the passengers of a motorcycle. A. R., F. J. and W. S. got injured.  The motorcycle was caught in the middle of a collision between a small van that crashed into the back of a school breakfast delivery truck which hit the motorcycle. The woman of about 33 years of age, died at the spot, while the injured were taken to the hospital. With the impact of the collision the truck stopped in a ditch at the opposite lane that leads to Santo Domingo.  Members of the National Police, the Army and the Military and Police Commission attached to the Ministry of Public Works, as well as the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transportation (DIGESETT), former AMET, cordoned off the site and worked together to direct the passage of the vehicles from people who stopped to observe what happened. A lot of onlookers kept watching in both lanes of the highway, while the authorities are waiting for the doctor to legislate to do the removal of the body. The crossing where the accident occurred is an area used as a return on the highway, to evade toll payment, an area that becomes an imminent danger that has resulted in several deaths in the past. Community organizations and local residents repeatedly requested that a traffic light could be placed there to control the passage of vehicles, but their claims have not been heard by the authorities as their too busy filling their own damn pockets. He had all the chance in the world to go not once but twice ! It’s almost like a superior force didn’t allow him to go since he was a couple seconds faster than fate/destiny but it was useless
