Father Dead and His 15 Month Old Baby Girl Wounded After Being Shot in His Car

Colombia, A man inside a car together with his baby were shot at in Colombia.

There have been rumors that the child, 15 months old Sofia, died, but they are not true. The authorities who remain in communication with her family and the clinic, have denied this is true and that the girl underwent surgery and remains sedated.

The minor was shot in different parts of her body, as her father, 32, was carrying her in his arms while driving down a street in the Barranquilla neighborhood in the north of the city.

He died on the site. While a woman and a man who came to see what had happened saw the baby, the young man decided to take her in his arms and ask for help to transfer her to the hospital where she received the first medical care.

Then she was transferred to Valle del Lili clinic.

Of this assassination attempt on Friday, committed by two individuals on Yamaha 660 motorcycles, the police investigated whether it was an "adjustment of accounts", since the victim was dedicated to money loans and had a judicial record due to extortion .

Police think this was a settling of scores between criminal organizations.

The victim was on parole after having been held in prison for the crimes of kidnapping, illegal conspiracy and manufacturing, carrying and trafficking of firearms and ammunition."

And although justice is wanted and the murderers are captured for now, the Cali people focus their attention and prayers on the innocent little Sofia.

First off, Why the fuck would he ride down the street with a baby in his lap??
Secondly, I suspect that he knew getting shot was a possibility and did it in hopes that no one would shoot at him because he was holding her; like for protection or something.
