At the age of only 16 years, she was murdered this night. Her life was stolen, she was raped, abused, and had her head cut open. Chu Vázquez, I beg you–and I am one of your colleagues–from [place] from this neighborhood where we come from together Mariana Trinidad Sánchez–your hometown–I want you to intervene! Look at this as if it were your own body. That it’s not me, it’s you, it’s a child of yours, that it was your daughter who had her life stolen! [SOBS] The only daughter I have! [SOBS] Oh, God, the pain! The [unintelligible]! Oh, Father!´´ The gentleman is appealing to an old friend, who apparently grew up in his neighborhood and is now Minister of the Police, to take the case seriously for his sake. He is obviously in a corrupt system and has no faith in the local yokels to do their job. But go on, make fun of him for ´´praying´´ and laugh at his grief. |
