The police did the right thing here. With one officer having been shot the priority is obviously to end the situation so that he can get medical help. The guy didn't have anyone else than himself to blame.

ON THE OTHER HAND, if you're the cop who got shot in the gut by your partner's gun, and you have a guy wrestled to the ground and incapacitated, then shooting him 3 times in the stomach at point blank is murder. That wasn't a "I need to disable this guy" move, that was anger and retribution which is absolutely 100 percent unacceptable and is very definitely murder. Fuck that pig. Not because he's a cop, but because he's a pig.

That guy was fighting them, and he brought that shit on himself, but for this part, I agree. He pulled that gun out for retribution - Aguilar's gun was already out on the ground - but according to the cop, he "thought he had another gun". Yeah, cause thugs always carry a backup. No, he was pissed he got shot. Scared? Maybe. But three shots? Angry.
