Re: Fatal Attack of Las Cruces Police Department Officer Jonah Hernandez
LEO accepted the risk when he was commissioned. Just another on the job death. No different than a migrant worker bit by a rattlesnake or a truck driver crashing a truck and dying. They ALL knew the occupational risks.

Re: Fatal Attack of Las Cruces Police Department Officer Jonah Hernandez
"Police officer" was absolutely clueless; he practically walked right up to what could always be (and promptly became) a potential threat, and did so as if hypnotized, like a sheep going to the proverbial slaughter, practically offering himself up to this stranger, who in no-time proved to be an imminent deadly threat—way quicker than his weak-ass reaction time—even as he made no effort to properly assess the situation to begin with. I feel very sorry for him and his family, as he clearly was a nice man, but being beta and a nice guy can get you killed really quick in this line of work; the ensuing horrific outcome is entirely his fault alone, due to his gross negligence on the job. This easily could've been avoided—if he had any semblance of even a modicum of situational awareness. Incidentally, I hate bad cops with a passion, especially those who are trigger-happy, but for this man I feel sadness and I have a very heavy heart. A genuine police officer will shoot at exactly the right moment—not-a-moment-too-soon, and not-a-moment-too-late. R.I.P. |

Re: Fatal Attack of Las Cruces Police Department Officer Jonah Hernandez
I like how everyone complains omg why didn’t the cop shoot!? And in situations where they did shoot they still complain “he didn’t have to do that!” “Police brutality!” So on and so forth…
