Fatal Accident in Ecuador
A traffic accident between a van and an interparish bus left at least four people dead and five injured. It happened at kilometer 78 of the Alóag - Santo Domingo road, in the two bridges sector of the Alluriquín parish on the morning of this Friday, February 19, 2021. According to information from the ECU-911 Emergency System, the alert was entered through a call to 9-1-1 that reported the traffic accident. The ECU-911 reported that the event was recorded at 07:38. ACCIDENT Units from the CTE, the Fire Department, the Ministry of Public Health and the Ecuadorian Red Cross attended the site. At the moment the road is closed to vehicular passage to avoid subsequent incidents and the recommendation to transporters is to take alternate routes such as the Las Mercedes - Los Bancos or the Valle Hermoso - Los Bancos road. From the site, the units that attended the alert indicated that it was a frontal collision between the van and the interparish transport bus. Until 09:00, four deaths and five injured people were registered. |

Nice find! One of the victims was 18 year old A.V. She played football with Sociedad Deportiva Aucas. Her mother + brother also died in the accident.
