I get disgusted every time I read about a hit and run accident. How someone could hit another human being and drive off, often leaving them to die in the road like an animal is beyond me.

There needs to much more serious penalties for those leaving a hit and run accident. In almost every case the person leaving the scene is drunk, driving illegally, or breaking the law in some capacity.

In most cases they are, but for example in Mexico as far as I know it doesn´t matter if it´s your fault or not, if the person die you go to jail if not you pay everything,it´s worst if him/her got disable you pay him for life, it doesn´t matter if you were driving good and some asshole crosses whitout care so as you can imagine most people do the hit and run
