You are quite correct; a true muslim is forbidden to kill another true muslim. They get around this inconvenience by labeling the other muslims "apostate" or "untrue muslims". Hence, we find sunni and shia killing each other all the time (not unlike catholics and protestants used to do.) Then there are the strict fundamentalist wacko muslims who think they can kill anyone outside of their literal interpretation of select violent surahs or hadith. Their main goal in life is to impose strict islam and spread the horrid shariah law around the world.

This is why religion in general tends to be bad.
In my opinion: God is cool, his "followers": not so much.

You should ask yourself that very same thing. Funny how you speak on behalf of ALL muslims. Surely you realize that muslims are PEOPLE. and PEOPLE are individuals, and therefore, when you speak on behalf of muslims using words like "WE" you are putting words in millions of people's mouth's without they're permission and they DEFINATELY do not all agree with you. The Qur'an mandates murder for various crimes like apostacy. So don't even bother trying to state otherwise.

Muslims DO kill other muslims regardless of what you seem to think. Just like people from all other ethnicities. Muslims DO kill themselves. If you want to say that the people that do those things aren't muslims, well then I can just say the same thing about you.
Eg. "REAL muslims kill each other. If you don't believe in murdering people, then you are NOT muslims"

See how easy that is? Or... Real Christians don't murder people, so if you murder someone, you aren't a Christian. See? It's easy to make shit up out of thin air.
The point is, if someone believes in a certain ideology/religion and then makes decisions based on those beliefs, then that would make them part of that religion. Just because someone interprets islam differently than you do, doesn't mean they aren't muslim.

But, I don't expect any "believers" to understand logic or critical thinking. We all know how that goes.

It depends on which parts of his brain are intact. Studies have shown that hearing is the last sense to go - those that have died may "hear" for up to an hour or more after death. But those studies were done in non-traumatic deaths, obviously.
