I wonder what it was like for the victim to see the bullets flying all around him while he was still alive. Might be a scary moment but might be serene too. I once had a gun against my head and thought that he was going to kill me. I saw a clear blue sky opening somewhere in my mind and I was ready to throw myself into that sky like a bird, without fear.
