I was watching some documentary. I can't remember what country is was but if the family don't continue to pay the burial cost they exhume the body and move him/her some place else. From the documentary they also take the remains (bones) and dump them in one big pile in an open field. Not sure what countries but more then 1 do that

My understanding is this: that they bury the dead while they wait for a nicer family mausoleum niche to "open" up. Open as in immediate family is gone, body is just bones, and/or they need to free up space. The old niche bones are then buried in a more of a mass grave / cheap grave style.

The "stillness" of death creeps me out more so than the gore! You can tell that "something" has left; it's like looking at a doll...
