I don't know too much background information about Chico Mendes but I do know he was murdered in 1988. The video details his exhumation and the subsequent investigation into his murder. Audio is in Portuguese. |

Makes me chuckle a bit that expression, it's like those old causes of death you'd see in church records of burials in the 1800's, i think i'd go with "suprised", or "suddenly". |
