I've tried explaining this to these animals but they don't understand how to build a peaceful and progessive society. Far too many people would be in favour of this type of system, because it appeals to the vigilante side in everyone. What people don't realize is that you can't have a society that behaves this way, and have it remain peaceful and civilzed. You become the crime. If you execute someone, you BECOME that crime. It stays with you until you are dead. This would not help citizens morale in general and would not be productive.
That is why most citizens in the world are not leaders, but herd like followers. They don't realize that behaving in a self-rewarding way doesn't necessarily benefit a society and in many cases is detrimental. It's not surprising at all that the average person is in favour of this though.

Let me put it this way, if someone raped and murdered my wife, I WOULD kill them. -BUT- I am not in favour of allowing the public to do this because I realize that my own personal desires are not something that would serve the public well. But then again, the average person is pretty stupid and always has been, so you can't blame them for being what they are.

Anyone that is in favour of this system let me ask you:
Why don't you go live in any one of the countries that allow this behaviour?
I know the answer. It's because those countries are fucking shitty 3rd world dumps that have a low standard of living. It's quite clear how well these countries are functioning with their current 'mentalities', yet many idiot Americans & Canadians seem to think that this behaviour is somehow beneficial to those shithole countries!!!

ALL humans used to behave this way. Some of the more advanced societies have realized that things are far more complicated than simply executing the people that do things we don't agree with.

Should we execute mentally ill people? Did they choose to be mentally ill?
