As close to a legal execution as I have seen in the Philippines. And yes, according to Sharia, there is to be an attempt to appeal to the victims family for forgiveness. This is not always in vain. In Iran, a couple of years ago, a man was ready to hang, with the noose around his neck and his victims mother spoke to the crowd, asked for a chair, slapped the man and said "I forgive you" and then she and her husband removed the noose from his neck. There was also another case in Iran where a man was already hanging and the family then decided to forgive him and he was cut down. What was so moving about that video was how gentle and compassionate the paramedics seemed to be when trying to resuscitate the man who was just a minute before hanging by the neck. Both videos are on youtube if you guys want to check them out. Pretty powerful stuff.

This has got to be up there in one of the strangest executions I have ever seen. Lets forget the fact that all those men, with a variety pack of automatic weapons, couldn't cleanly kill three people dead as a door knob but what the fuckedy fuck was all that about at the end there? There's the... No, no, no, you are dying wrong, you must keep your hands like this, guy. Then there's the guy obsessed with buddy's chin and trying to do the Jacob Marley thing to him all while everyone else just calmly stands around.
