On Sunday afternoon (28), a case of suicide was recorded on one of the access bridges to Guaíba, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil.

According to preliminary information, the victim was a man, who had jumped from the bridge at around 2 pm. Fire Department and SAMU teams were called, but the victim did not survive his injuries.

The Civil Police are investigating the circumstances of what happened. There is no information about the identity of the victim or the reasons that led to the suicide.

He landed his head 1st then his whole body bend and his head seems to be also hitting the floor. Most of the ribs should be cracked or broken. By pushing / pumping the chest would actually worsen the internal injury.
