Elephant Kills Mahout's Son in Bangladesh
At the Bangladesh National Zoo in Dhaka, the 17-year-old son of a mahout was killed after being attacked by an elephant.

According to the zoo's director, the deceased, identified as Zahid, had entered the elephant enclosure with his father when the pachyderm grabbed Zahid with its trunk, wrapped itself around him, picked Zahid up, and then threw him to the ground. Zahid was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
