As far as I know, the bull elephants have some kind of hormonal change that makes them act crazy. It's like PMS or sorts for them. Saw it on National Geographic... Can't remember the exact term for it though...

poor cow. it didn't do anything to the elephant to deserve that.i guess elephants are more like people than realized. when they get angry, they take it out on anyone and anything. i hope somewhere in this universe there are actually creatures that have the power to rationalize... even when angry.

I would have appreciated if he`d mangled more humans. There`s too many of us anyway.
