A woman of 64 years died after being run over by a bus in the centre of Osasco, in Greater São Paulo. The accident occurred around 10.30am on Tuesday (31/1).

In the images, it is possible to see the woman running across the intersection, through the zebra crossing, when the bus hits her. After the collision, the vehicle does not stop and the victim is dragged for about 50 meters.

The police was called and, when arriving at the scene, found the victim already dead. The driver, of 53 years, was on site and reported that he had not seen the elderly woman.

He reported to the agents that he stopped the vehicle as soon as he realized that there was an obstacle in front and that, when he got down, he found the elderly woman lying on the road. According to police, the driver showed no signs of drunkenness. He was heard and released, but the bus company fired him.
