Elderly Woman on Bicycle Is Run Over by Truck
Guanhães, Minas Gerais, Brazil An elderly woman identified as Rita P.d.S.S., 63 years old, died after being hit by a truck this Wednesday morning (10). According to the Military Police, the driver reported that he did not notice the cyclist because she had entered a blind spot just below the vehicle's cab. He stated that he heard a loud noise and, upon looking in the rear-view mirror, saw that the bicycle had been hit and was under the truck's wheels. When he stopped and got out, he found that the woman was already dead. |

That happens so many times it's insane. When I lived in NYC it seemed to happen every week. People for some reason think trucks don't turn so they ride along side them and they get squarshed |
