A container truck, stopped at a red light, collided with a scooter as it began to move. The 75-year-old scooter rider, Mr Huang, tumbled with his bike under the truck and was crushed by its wheels, resulting in a fatal head injury.

Initial investigations suggest the truck collided with the motorcycle as Mr Huang changed lanes, also affecting two other scooters.

The truck driver, 52-year-old Mr Ye, tested negative for alcohol. Police have requested a prosecutorial autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, with liability still under investigation.
