You have no Idea of the Religion you are writing about or the principles and the belief of the people following it.Rats,bulls or even cows are not gods but are holy or sacred animals who are not to be harmed just opposite of what christianity says about animals being created for the use of man and are to be killed.Indic religion are much more spiritual in nature doesn't revolves around what a prophet has said. The idea that every animal has right to live is a reason why many Hindus still follow veg diet.
Varanasi is a religious place ,a total of 1M foreign visitors recorded last year to see the dirty bearded saints .
