In a way I get 20 year olds who kill themselves. You're still idealistic and you realize, with the first disappointments, that things are not what they seemed. By 65, disappointment and resignation have crystallized and you've found ways to make the ride a little less unpleasant (vices, hobby, travel, raising a colony of ants, whatevs). it just don't make sense, at 65, to want to off yourself. aint nobody getting they heart broke at that age so wtf
