An Elderly Man Died After Being Run Over by a Truck.
A serious accident on the BR-153 resulted in a fatality on Monday afternoon (30th), in the Barros sector of Araguaína. Eli Afonso Pires, 72, died after being hit by a truck while crossing the highway. According to information gathered at the scene, the victim had almost finished crossing the road when he was struck. Witnesses reported that the truck was parked and, as it was about to leave, the driver apparently did not see the elderly man, possibly due to the vehicle's blind spot. The impact was fatal. The victim died at the scene, trapped under the truck, causing intense shock among those who witnessed the accident. |
