It is a fact and there's plenty of information that the terrorist operation that destroyed the WTC was known in advance by American intelligence, still they didn't do nothing, maybe because it was *their* operation to justify an invasion to find "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq, which is something no country could be able to disguise, weapons of mass destruction have a detectable "footprint", there is no way to hide them, so American intelligence knew there were none from the get go.
