Elderly Baseball Player Dies of Heatstroke
In Mexico, a baseball player fainted and died next to the playing diamond due to an alleged heat stroke in the north of the country. The events occurred during a game that took place last Sunday, when temperatures were over 38 degrees, 100,4°F, in the shade.  The victim of this unfortunate event was an older adult man who played in the 60-year-old Super Master League. The events took place at 2:30 in the afternoon in the Faustina Félix Serna Sports Unit. Unofficially, it was said that the identity of the deceased was L. RD and he died of a heart attack caused by heat stroke. People on the site said he was playing the sixth inning of the league final when, after hitting a fly ball to center, the 60-year-old baseball player collapsed on his way to the bench. In the first inning of the match, the man who worked as a player for the Brewers team was in the position of receiver for more than 45 minutes. |

Once, while waiting in line at a water-ride park, I witnessed a young lady in her late teens completely collapse to the ground in front of me from heatstroke. I can imagine how stressful and deadly it could be to oldsters.

It's weird when I hear people my age referred to as elderly. I'm almost 61 & I don't feel elderly. Of course, it helps that I've kept myself in shape for the most part.

That helps but ,not in that video ,I could be wrong I don't see a single jug of water Powerade or even generate out there for them to drink to help keep hydrated.

I had a heat stroke this same time last year. When the ambulance got to me, I was unconscious with a fever of 105. I came to in the emergency room, completely naked, with bags of ice under my arms and between my legs. Fun times.  |
