Negative. We have no way of knowing if this attack was provoked or the result of an intentional hunt. Sharks attacks are usually bites and not fatal. And the fatal ones usually are divers, who have attractants that bring the sharks in.

That's mostly a great white thing. In this case, it was a tiger shark. Tiger sharks are tenacious and will eat anything they can.
