I'm with you - likely he's either struggling to make ends meet, got laid off, or just needs this little extra to make it by. If your life is in such turmoil that losing your transportation could be catastrophic then I get it. I feel sad for this man and although I will never know what lead up to this moment, I can only speculate. There's a high probability that I am wrong and I can accept that. However, it seemed like 'harmless kids' might have been easily scared off with a little bit of resistance and public attention because 'this only happens on tv'.
