Ecuadorian Prison Riot Leaves Six Dead
In Litoral Penitentiary, in the southwestern province of Guayas, six prisoners were killed and eleven injured after a riot between organized crime groups. Ecuador's prisons have been the scene of a series of massacres since 2020 in which more than 450 prisoners have been murdered, as a result of clashes between rival gangs that dispute internal control of the detention centers. Added to this are prison conditions, with overcrowding that can reach 50% of the prison's capacity in some cases. |

If there weren't any restrictions that would be how ALL humans might behave. Some guy thinks his neighbor's lawn doesn't complement the rest of the neighborhood, bring out the machete. I've got to say, from that bird's eye view humanity looks very unappealing, like those videos of bacteria under a microscope. Then we wonder why a spaceship doesn't just land and say "hello"  |
